For the past few weeks I have been sharing some of my favorite homemade cleaner recipes and cleaning tips for all around the house. I hope that you have learned a lot and are inspired to try some of the recipes or at least put it on your to do list to try at some point!
A note about my main source for homemade cleaning recipes: The recipes I use come from the book Clean House, Clean Planet - Clean your house for pennies a day, the safe nontoxic way by Karen Logan. I am a big fan of the library, but this is one book worth owning - mine is falling apart. This book has over 100 cleaning recipes, everything from daily household cleaners to air fresheners, ant killer, car cleaners, carpet cleaners, laundry detergent and on and on. If you are serious about making your own cleaners, I highly recommend buying the book (I checked, and Amazon has it for less than $11 new - there are used copies, too).
Here is a summary and links to all of the homemade cleaner posts that were included in this series:

So I have been filing away some of your blogs until I had a bit of time to try to implement some of your ideas. This was one I was looking at over the weekend again. Just wanted to ask if you have ever heard of Norwex products? Big disclaimer - I do sell them! But the wonderful thing is that you clean most of your home with just water. I didn't believe it at first, but did a lot of research and have loved using their products ever since. I use just the microfiber cloths and water to clean most of my bathroom (still use the Norwex toilet bowl cleaner and every so often the descaler). Don't need furniture polish with the dusting mitt. And the window cloth - just water - and the most amazing shine. I sold all my other cleaning products in May at a garage sale and have so much more space! And no chemicals used in my home any more to clean. So enough with the ad : ) and if you choose not to post this, I'll understand. But the microfiber almost eliminates the need to use cleaning solutions at all.
Becky - No, I have not heard of those products, interesting!
